InfoLibria, Inc.; Waltham, Massachusetts
Technical Consultant
Designed and developed various programs that encompass InfoLibria’s
Content Commander, a controlling application for DynaCache and MediaMall
hardware appliances.
Content Commander is part of InfoLibria’s Content
Distribution Network for web objects and streaming media video files. Content
Commander utilizes an Active Server Page GUI to control a set of applications
that examine web sites, extract web elements and Windows Media, Real Network,
and Apple QuickTime streaming media files and deliver the files to caching
servers along the edge of the distribution network.
Created custom applications written in Visual Basic and
Visual C++ to access a SQL Server database that utilized RPC via HTTP to report
status between the various machines. Created custom Windows 2000 services written
in Visual C++ with ATL, COM and TCP/IP sockets to report multicast usage via an
HTTP and JavaScript heartbeat signal programmed in IE and Netscape. Created
custom Visual Basic COM objects for n-tier deployment of SQL Server database
middle-ware.
Assisted with the integration of the Apache web server and
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server with Microsoft IIS, Windows
Media Server versions 4.0 & 4.1 and RealNework’s RealServer versions 7.0
& 8.0. Assisted in the creation of ISAPI modules in Visual C++ to process
HTTP POST commands for file distribution. Integrated KenCast’s Fazzt Digital
Delivery System with customers’ satellite multicast broadcast systems to
deliver HTTP and Video content.
Created SQL Server stored procedures and triggers
utilizing T-SQL. Created an automated database installation and upgrade
procedure with T-SQL and VBScript to distribute changes to the Content
Commander database.
Assisting in the creation of a customized Windows 2000
installation and securing this Windows 2000 and IIS installation from intrusion
through standardized system hardening techniques. The custom installation
process utilized VBScript, ADSI and WMI to discover and update IP address
information, access and update machine configurations, create a custom IIS
configuration, and enable and disable various default services.
